FORNEBU, Norway  Equinor has extended a call-off arrangement with Aker Solutions under which the latter will continue to provide maintenance and modification services on the Johan Sverdrup Field in the Norwegian North Sea.

This is in accordance with an existing frame agreement that runs until February 2026.

Aker Solutions has delivered various platforms to the Sverdrup offshore complex and has been involved in all project development stages. Since startup in 2019, it also has provided maintenance and modification services under an existing agreement.

The extension should help the company exploit synergies with ongoing project activities. It will manage these services from Stavanger with prefabrication performed at the company’s yard in Egersund.

Sverdrup could maintain production for more than 50 years, delivering 2.7 Bboe.
